Privacy and reporting an error

This page describes what data the site collects and how to report an error.

What is collected

The server records that a page was read, that a link or text was copied, that a card was downloaded and that the system share sheet was opened. These are separate events and are not merged into one number. A reader's address is not stored: only an irreversible salted hash is kept.

What we count: copying a link, copying text, downloading, system hand-off and our own posting are separate events. A preview bot is not a reader.

What we do not collect

The site does not learn whom you sent a link to, does not connect OAuth, does not read your contact list and never publishes anything in your name.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The chosen language lives in the page address, not in a reader profile.

How to report an error

The error form is reachable from any page. The message goes only to an internal coordinator and is never published. Contact details are optional; without them we cannot reply, but we will still look at the message.

Describe exactly what is wrong and, if you can, point to a public source. We answer in the item's correction log.

The contact is never published and is used only to answer this message.
